A little background |

I learned to make crude fixed blade knives as a kid from my Cherokee grandfather who was a blacksmith-jack of all trades. After his passing I built a few in high school, But really didn't do much until I was in my early 30's and found myself building knives in my spare time on construction jobs as a welder. I built with the tools I had until I saw an ad for supplies from the late Bob Schrimsher in the mid '80s. From then on it's been a wonderful journey. I built folding knives from 1984, when there were only a few makers to speak of. I have become known for my folders and automatic knives. I enjoy working with all the exotic handle materials, but I stick to the steels that are proven to do good work for reasonable pricing. Look for my work at the PKA, the Blade, and the Guild shows, or on my website.
